Story: 4/10 - Sweet Tonka found her forever home with lots of love inside. Before reaching rescue she was kept outside and given very little attention. It wasn't long before we could see what a great dog she was and that she deserved one-on-one attention and a family with children as she was quite the nurturer. That is exactly what she received. Jaba
Story: 10/2/09 - Loving words from Jaba's forever family.....
"I met Jaba June 2009 at Bandana Dog Days and in our brief meeting, he snagged a place in my heart. I could not quit thinking about this lovable man and spent the next few months attempting to persuade my husband that we needed another dog. I went to various events to see Jaba again, usually missing him by a few minutes. I contacted Saints Rule and spoke with Heather and Michelle about adopting Jaba. Finally, on October 2, I took my college-age son, his girlfriend and my husband to meet Jaba at another Rescue event.
Doug was adamant about not getting another dog...especially a big dog like Jaba. Ironically, once he met Jaba, Jaba quickly changed Doug's mind and Jaba came to live with us that day. He and Doug are inseparable. And Jaba and Danvers, our youngest Corgi, are best buds. Griffin, our older Corgi, took a while to warm up to Jaba, but now we are quite the pack. We are so thrilled to have Jaba in our lives. He is a great addition to our family and you will never meet a sweeter, more gentle, funny, personable dog than this gentle giant. Thanks for all you do!"
